The Department of Orthopedics and Joint Surgery organizes a scientific day on anterior cruciate ligament transplantation of the knee joint

The Department of Orthopedics and Joint Surgery at the University Hospital organized on Thursday morning a scientific day on knee cruciate ligament transplantation, under the care of the Libyan Society for Surgery and Arthroscopy, and the supervision of the Scientific Council of Bones of the Council of Medical Specialties, with the participation of a group of orthopedic and joint doctors from Tripoli hospitals and its neighboring areas, which included several scientific lectures, presented by participating doctors on injuries and surgery to transplant the knee cruciate ligament, in a safe and latest methods based on medicine based on scientific evidence, helping the patient move normally after his recovery.

The scientific day was characterized by a serious and effective discussion by the attending doctors, who emphasized the importance of holding scientific days due to the benefit that accrues to the participants.

Dr. Saleh Abumahara, Head of the Orthopedic and Joint Surgery Department at the hospital, stressed that the scientific day comes within the activities of the department within the framework of continuing medical education, in order to create a generation of reliable doctors in orthopedic and joint surgery to raise the level of medical services, with the presence of professional colleagues in a scientific session dedicated to the safe way to transplant the cruciate ligament injured by athletes to review cases that provided successful medical service in order to transfer experience among them. He also confirmed the continuation of holding scientific days in the specialty of orthopedics and joints, especially cruciate ligament transplantation and sports injuries, due to the importance of treating it at the university hospital as a house of expertise in this speciality
