Benghazi Medical Center Hosts the 3rd Shoulder Surgery Conference with the Participation of Leading International Surgeons

As part of its ongoing efforts to advance medical practice and promote the exchange of global expertise, Benghazi Medical Center is preparing to host the 3rd Shoulder Surgery Conference, one of the most prominent international scientific gatherings in the field. The event will take place on November 7–8, 2025, in Benghazi, Libya.

The conference aims to enhance surgical and clinical skills in shoulder and elbow surgery by transferring advanced knowledge and expertise from distinguished international specialists to surgeons and physicians in the region, with a focus on implementing the latest modern and complex surgical techniques.

The scientific program features interactive sessions, workshops, and live surgeries covering three main themes:
    1. Reverse Total Shoulder Arthroplasty (RTSA):
The latest techniques in shoulder joint replacement for complex cases.
    2. Rotator Cuff Tears:
Presentation of advanced treatment algorithms and arthroscopic repair techniques.
    3. Shoulder Instability:
Discussion of the newest approaches to managing recurrent cases, including the Latarjet procedure.

The conference is distinguished by offering direct hands-on learning through live surgeries across all themes, giving participants a unique opportunity to follow each surgical step under the supervision of leading international experts.

This event represents a significant scientific addition to Benghazi Medical Center and reaffirms its pioneering role in localizing advanced surgical training and strengthening Libya’s position as a regional hub for medical excellence and education.
