About Event
This course is for new doctors enrolled in the Medical Specialties Council from all cities in Libya: Benghazi, Al-Marj, Ajdabiya, Al-Bayda, Tobruk, Derna, and Sirte.
For his part, Dr. Mustafa Al-Fadhli, Consultant and Head of the Orthopedic and Joint Surgery Department at the Benghazi Medical Center, stated, “The fifth course on the basics of fracture fixation is being held, which consists of interactive lectures, discussion panels, and practical sessions. Professors from various cities in Libya are participating in this course.”
Dr. Al-Fadhli added, “The course targets doctors from the Orthopedic Surgery Department enrolled in the Medical Specialties Council. The goal of the course is to enhance the competence of orthopedic surgeons and their ability to deal with all types of fractures and their conservative and surgical treatment methods.”
Dr. Al-Fadhli said, “This course is very important, as it includes workshops, discussion panels, and interactive lectures. This course is held annually. Last year, it was held in Tripoli, and this year it is being held in Benghazi. The number of participants was approximately 45 doctors from most Libyan cities. I wish everyone success.”
In the same context, orthopedic and spine consultant Dr. Khaled Aniba, currently residing in the UAE and a graduate of the Arab Medical University in Benghazi in 1995, said, “I was invited by the Medical Specialties Council and Professor Mustafa Al-Fadhli for a basic fracture fixation course for trainees and residents in orthopedics in Libya. This is the fifth course of its kind, and it is very important for doctors at the beginning of their studies, in terms of the basics and principles, fracture fixation, patient care, and injuries.”
Dr. Aniba added, “This course includes two days of lectures and workshops, using both theoretical and practical methods to achieve fixation according to internationally agreed standards, and to learn the basics of orthopedics.”
Dr. Aniba added, “The other thing is that we are meeting all orthopedic professors from different cities in Libya. This is a great opportunity to exchange ideas and opinions on everything new in the world of orthopedics and fractures. I wish everyone success.” Dr. Aniba concluded by saying, “Thanks go to the management of the Benghazi Medical Center. This is not new to them. I am a frequent visitor to the medical center, and I am aware of their ambitions and intention to develop the health sector in terms of training doctors.”
