The fifth training course on the basics of fracture fixation was held this morning, Saturday, May 25, 2024, in Benina Hall at the Benghazi Medical Center, in the presence of a group of professors from various cities in Libya, and in the presence of a visitor from Britain, Dr. Khaled Anibeh.

This course is for new doctors enrolled in the Council of Medical Specialties from all cities of Libya, Benghazi, Al-Marj, Ajdabiya, Al-Bayda, Tobruk, Derna and Sirte.

For his part, Consultant and Head of the Department of Orthopedics and Joint Surgery at Benghazi Medical Center and member of the Libyan Society for Surgery and Arthroscopy (LSAAS), Dr. Mustafa Al-Fadhili, said: “The fifth course is held for the basics of fracture fixation, which consists of interactive lectures and panel discussions, as well as the practical side, in which professors from different cities of Libya participate in this course.”

Dr. Al-Fadhili added, “Doctors from the Department of Orthopedics who are members of the Council of Medical Specialties were targeted, and the aim of the course is to raise the efficiency of orthopedic surgeons and how to deal with all types of fractures and their conservative and surgical treatment methods.”

“This course is very important, as workshops, panel discussions and interactive lectures were held, and this course is held every year, last year it was held in Tripoli, and this year it was held in Benghazi, and the number of participants was about 45 doctors from most cities in Libya, and I wish success to all.”
